Well Happy New Year! And with the new year we incorporated a new price structure that is designed to save the bigger parties money. We also kept our prices for smaller parties relatively low. We also added a Corporate Lunch Package that's designed for a 1 hour serve time and charged by the plate. You'll get 1/2 a pound of total Meat, three 4 ounce sides, iced tea and a slice of Jalapeno bread. So if you have any reason to throw a BBQ party at work this is a fantastic package with great prices. Hope to see you through the smoke, Joe and Tracy.
New Roadside Hours
Just to drop a message to all of our roadside fans. Due to the over the top catering needs we now feel it necessary to use our trailer for catering on Saturday's. We will open Sunday's with our regular roadside menu but to keep it fresh only til we sell out. Thanks and hope to see you all on Sunday's.
Please take note, having received our 2nd meat order we have found the meat prices are coming down. So we updated our meat prices where we could in the Roadside Menu and the BBQ Pickup Menu. Thanks and have a great Spring and Summer.
One thing that I seen and tasted from BBQ joints in the South was the smoked sausage, but seems to be lacking in most BBQ places in the Northeast. So for years we been tinkering with our own unique southern style sausage. Now this year we are happy to team up with Matin's sausage and provide you with a winner weiner.
Ok, so to start the beginning of the 2015 season we purchased this beautiful, fully loaded BBQ concession trailer. This unit gives us more cooking area for bigger events. It has all the bells and whistles, a Stump's Platinum 5 on the very back, a 48" chicken cooker that bumps out, a double burner cook top and a kitchen with a refrigerator and full sink system. We now have the capability to do events large and small.
We are also trying to set up roadside this year but that task proved to be more daunting than expected. We'll keep you posted on our progress.
Keep on SMOKING!
Well the ride to getting customers fresh BBQ just took a turn for the absolute best. After looking at countless pits, trailers and even some buildings, One Big Party decided to purchase a custom trailer made by Stumps Smokers in Georgia. The two part trailer, a full kitchen with a sink system and concession window on one side and a Stumps Platinum 5 with a Meadow Creek chicken cooker on the other. This makes us mobile with the power to feed large crowds. The unique pit uses a charcoal flue that can cook 36 Lbs. of charcoal for 18 Hrs. which helps us reduce the fuel cost significantly. You can also add wood chunks into the bottom of the firebox to obtain a great deep smoke profile, which we do.
To further expand our product awareness we jumped back into the vending part of BBQ. Our first official event was the Hometown Harvest Fair on October 11th in Hightstown, NJ. Weather wasn't quite on our side but overall it was a success.
After tasting our BBQ, Ed Shea owner of the Laurita Winery, a top notch establishment in New Egypt, NJ, invited us as a vendor in his Rock the BBQ event at the winery on Nov 8th and 9th. We jumped at the chance having heard nothing but rave reviews from family and friends about the winery. We will also be helping host the after party of the Half Marathon at the Ivy Inn in Princeton, NJ, November 2nd. Food service will start at 11 AM and end at 6 PM. We would like to thank the owner of the Ivy Inn, Rich Ryan, for giving us this opportunity to sell some great BBQ in Princeton. Below are links to each event. Sooie!!
